Founder & President
Albert Fetzer
I am a passionate aviator hailing from rural Indiana. From a young age, I have been captivated by the skies. After graduating high school in 2017, I soared to new heights by earning my pilot's license in 2018. In 2021 I launched FetzAir Aviation, turning my dreams into reality. I love ferrying because it allows me to connect people with their own aviation passions. My enthusiasm for flying and dedication to sharing that joy with others makes my work truly extraordinary!

I’ve been flying since 2016, and my dad helped me earn my private pilot certificate in a Stinson. Since then, I’ve added more than 20 different aircraft types to my logbook along with additional ratings and endorsements, building experience one airplane at a time. I’ve flown into over 200 airports and logged more than 120 hours of tailwheel time. I currently hold my CFI, CFII, and MEI, and I’m working toward building the hours needed to fly jets alongside my dad. I’ve been ferrying airplanes across the country since December 2025, treating every aircraft like it’s my own and every trip like it matters.

I’ve been drawn to the sky for as long as I can remember. Having multiple family members in aviation I was blessed to have took my first flight at 4, knowing immediately that this was where I belonged. At 11, I was involved in the restoration of a Douglas C-53, this experience built my love for vintage tailwheel aircraft as well as shaped my future as an A&P. I started taking flying lessons at 15 in a J-3 the airplane I would soon solo on my 16th birthday. While in High School, I earned my Private, Instrument and Commercial. Opening my first career opportunity as a Banner Tow, Shark Spotting and Skydive pilot. I then attended Liberty University where I earned a bachelors degree in Aviation Technology: Flight and Maintenance. I also hold an SIC Type Rating in the Douglas DC-3 which brought me full circle to where I began. I currently have been working as a free lance flight instructor, co-pilot on a Citation, as well as moving aircraft for FetzAir Aviation!

I graduated from Eastern Kentucky University's part 141 aviation program with a Bachelor of Science in Aviation (Professional Flight) and a minor in Aviation Management. My background includes 1.5 years flight instructing as a CFI in Southwest Florida along with extensive real world operational experience flying aerial survey missions in a Piper Aztec. In my free time I love to snowboard, play pickleball, and spend time with friends and family! With over 1,200 hours in a wide variety of aircraft, safety has always been my number one priority. My goal is to provide owners and future operators with reliable and dependable aircraft service they can trust, and know that their aircraft will arrive on time and that it is in good hands.

I am a retired engineer from Caterpillar with a lifelong passion for aviation. Growing up in Indiana, I discovered flying at an early age and went on to build a remarkable resume as a pilot, logging over 20,000 flight hours across more than 40 years. I especially enjoy flying both single and twin engine airplanes, and the Eclipse Jet which I have a type rating in. My combination of technical expertise and passion for aviation results in my deep love for the freedom of flight.
